Madhya Pradesh Judiciary Syllabus
The examination process of MP Judicial Services typically occurs in 3 phases;
1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
2. Main Examination (Subjective Type)
3. Interview 1.
PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION:
The preliminary examination shall be an objective type examination consisting of the following parts of 150 Marks each:- (Total questions 150 of 150 Marks) No negative marking is there. S. MAINS EXAMINATION:
Main Examinations consists of four subjective question papers, each paper consist 100 marks. First and Second question papers will be given together while third and fourth question papers will be given together. The time period for each question paper will be of 3 hours. The main examination process itself will be conducted over 2 days. Note- While answering the main exams, quoting the principle of citation would be enough. Quoting the citation itself will not earn any extra marks. Further, quoting the wrong citation would be detrimental. FIRST QUESTION PAPER: CIVIL LAW & PROCEDURE [Marks 100] 1. Limitation Act, 1963 SECOND QUESTION PAPER : ESSAY & PRECISE WRITING [Marks 100] 1. Writing on social issue- 20 Marks 2. Writing on Legal issue- 20 Marks 3. Precis Writing (Law)- 20 Marks 4. Translation (Hindi to English)- 20 Marks 5. Translation (English to Hindi)- 20 Marks THIRD QUESTION PAPER : LOCAL, CRIMINAL LAW & PROCEDURE [Marks 100] 1. Indian Penal Code, 1861 2. Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 3. Indian Evidence Act, 1872 4. Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 ( Chapter 13 to 17) 5. MP Accommodation Control Act, 1961 6. MP Land Revenue Act, 1959 FOURTH QUESTION PAPER : JUDGMENT WRITING [Marks 100] 1. Framing of Issues- 10 Marks 2. Framing of Charges- 10 Marks 3. Judgment /Order (Civil) Writing -40 Marks 4. Judgment /Order (Criminal) Writing -40 Marks 3. INTERVIEW / VIVA – VOCE DETAILS It will carry a maximum of 50 Marks.
